The steel blade of the Hydra is artfully pulled out with the 2-side thumb stud. The blade’s run is smooth and confident. The open folder is securely fixed with a titanium Frame Lock.
The wide large blade is produced from high carbon steel CPM-154. This alloy has great toughness and corrosion resistance. It’s ready for rough use. Was it not coincidentally that Les George put the steel’s grade on the blade.
The clip point blade works great both when cutting and stabbing. The blade’s surface is decorated with lengthwise satin.
The smooth-shaped handle lies comfortably in a palm, thumb rest provides a good grip. The handle has an asymmetrical décor. On one side, the knifemaker left the genteel titanium surface of the frame open. On the other side, the frame is decorated with a titanium bolster and a black overlay of G10.
