The limited-edition knife Pero SBW & Sinkevich design
The flipper knife Pero was created by a collaboration of Shirogorov Brothers Workshop and Dmitry Sinkevich, one of the most famous knife designers. Russian company produced a limited 200-knife batch. One hundred went to the American market, the other hundred stayed in Russia. These knives were never on the open market. The right to buy every knife out of 100 was a lottery. Pero has drawn a lot of collectors’ attention.
The blade is made of Vanax 37 alloy steel from Swedish company Uddeholm. The material is highly corrosion resistant and fine-grained. Blade’s shape with its upturned top looks like a pike. The blade has two graceful fullers and notches on its spine for better grip.
The liners of the handle are made of carbon. This significantly lowers the knife's weight. Liners are connected with a long titanium backspacer, which makes the whole construction more rigid and strong. The ergonomic handle is comfortable for various-size palms.
Pivot features a system of 3-raw ball bearings with a washer made from hardened steel. This makes the run of the blade smooth and quick. The head of a pivot screw has a particular faceted shape. This is a feature of Dmitry Sinkevich’s design.
The Linerlock features a steel inlay that increases the wear resistance of the mechanism. The clip is made of titanium and placed almost at the back edge of the handle, which guarantees the knife will be sitting deep in your pocket. There’s a lanyard hole right next to the attachment point of the clip.
Shirogorov Brothers Workshop has been creating high-quality knives for more than 10 years. This is one of the few Russian companies that managed to enter the international market and now competes with brands from the USA, Europe, and Japan. These Russian folders have already become classic. Minimalistic recognizable design, excelling ergonomics, high attention to detail, and perfect finish identify the Workshop.
