White metal Hog lanyard bead
Rick Maverick has pulled a fast one on the knife community — and what a pig he's served up! This boar is one of the founder of Starlingear Corporation's earliest creations. Rick reimagined the old tusked mug, tweaked the design, and set it loose on the world.
The Hog lanyard bead is the result of handcrafted work by the brand's jewelers — cast and decorated at the heart of the brand, the Starlingear California workshop.
The bead is crafted from snow-white metal that resists rust and boasts hypoallergenic and antiseptic properties. The decoration employs a triple finish: most of the surface is textured with an "orange peel" finish and covered in patina, while the raised elements — the tusked mouth, the impressive snout, and the furrowed brows — are polished to a mirror shine.
The hog has been branded on the underside with the Starlingear hallmark — a gear with the Latin letter "S" inscribed within it. This symbol, known as the S-Gear, adorns not only the cheek but also the boar's forehead. The gear stamped between the eyes is crafted from a copper alloy and polished brighter than a recruit's belt buckle.
The Hog S-Gear bead comes with a certificate of authenticity from the manufacturer.
This big-headed boar will make a worthy companion for any knife — be it a custom tactical or a workhorse chopper. The bead is crafted with the care and taste befitting exclusive jewelry. Its ironic style underscores the owner's sense of humor, while its brutal décor speaks to the free spirit of an adventurer.
