Hydra XL is a big knife for a big man. It is a charismatic 300-gram custom tactic knife with a powerful blade made of excellent American steel and a handle made of premium titanium decorated with a sea-depth color composite. The author of this beauty is the famous American knifemaker Les George.

The predatory shape of Recurved Blade is formed of American steel powder CPM-154 that was created for high loads and aggressive environments. Blade’s curved shape increases the cutting edge and provides the knife with a savory cutting. A wide spine in combination with the impressive knife’s weight makes Hydra an excellent tool for hacking. 

Both left-handed and right-handed people will find the knife comfortable to hold: Hydra XL is easily opened with a two-sided thumb stud and is securely fixed by the frame lock. 

Hand lengthwise satin of the blade goes beautifully with the width wise satin of the bolster. On one side of the handle, there’s a titanium liner, sparkling after light tumbling. On the other side, there is an elegant liner of a rare composite that puts together the black of the coal and the green of G10. Wavy relief reveals the multi-layer structure of the material that sparkles with its colors like seawater in a storm. Such structure has a practical value as well: it helps with a secure grip.
