Paul Defender Mustang with inlay work by Canadian jeweler David Yellowhorse
The Paul Defender Mustang is a custom version of the legendary Defender model. This knife is unique on several counts. First, the Defender has been discontinued, making it a piece of undeniable collectible value. Second, the folder features a unique lock mechanism with an unusual deployment method. And third, the handle is decorated with masterful inlay work by the renowned Canadian jeweler David Yellowhorse.
The leaf-shaped blade is forged from premium American 154CM steel. The blade is secured by the patented Paul Axial lock. To open the folder, you press the button at the base of the pivot without touching any other part of the handle. A light flick of the wrist — and the blade is exposed!
The handle scales are a true work of art. David Yellowhorse adorned the handle with jasper, opal, and jet. The stones are separated by thin white metal partitions, and from the same material is crafted the bas-relief depicting the centerpiece of the composition — a trio of galloping mustangs.
The Defender Mustang is an American gentleman's custom — an exquisite piece that does honor to any collection.
