Custom knife Empire by Tashi Bharucha and Jean-Pierre Martin

An imperial costume flipper from French Jean-Pierre Martin and successful designer Tashi Bharucha. Bharucha is one of the most recognizable names in the world of EDC knife design. The American native with Indian roots, now based in Paris, is well known to collectors for his designs and collaborations. The Empire custom combines the bold lines of modernity with the art of old-school knifemaking. The knife got into the store's collection from the Paris exhibition SICAC 2019, where Martin personally presented his creations.

This knife is larger and more massive than most of the flippers designed by Jean-Pierre. It's a full-fledged universal EDC, ready to be used in nature.

With the light pressure on the flipper, the blade easily flies out of the handle. The elegant deployment ends with a pleasant click, typical for Martin's knives. The titanium liner lock reliably protects your fingers from accidental folding of the folding blade.

Bharucha presented the blade with a modified Persian profile. The elongated cutting edge, combined with the high flats. The famous Swedish powder steel RWL-34, which is also famous for its high anti-corrosion properties, gives strength and long-term preservation of sharpness. The finish of the blade is a neat longitudinal satin, hand-made by Jean-Pierre Martin.

The shape of the handle fits comfortably in the palm, without wrinkling your hand and providing full control over the Empire. A titanium liner, a clip, and hardware echo the monochrome steel. Jean-Pierre called this knife All Black due to all shades of black: an anthracite tone of premium carbon fiber scales and graphite zirconium bolster. A long carbon fiber backspacer completes the picture.

The knife has a long, comfortable Tip-Up clip, which provides a comfortable fit on the pocket, without attracting unnecessary attention.

The custom comes with a leather case with the French Knifemaker logo and a certificate.
