"Gloomy Samurai" Shark
The buckle design was created by Maria Stalina® based on a mask by artist Vitaly Ilyin.
The buckle consists of several elements crafted from metals in different colors — white, red, and yellow. Each component is made using the lost-wax casting technique, then meticulously hand-finished through polishing, engraving, and patination. The assembled construction is secured with jewelry-grade rivets, whose neat heads adorn the outer rim of the front face.
The first run of the "Twilight Samurai" Manufactura Caliber consists of ten unique, non-repeating pieces. Identical components across different Samurai are made from various metals, so while they share the same form, each has its own distinct character.
The belt straps of our Samurai are three-layered. The decorative outer layer is crafted from exotic leathers — crocodile, python, elephant, and shark. The base and inner insert (the podium) are made from Italian bovine leather of combined tanning. All parts are hand-stitched with a saddle stitch — the strongest stitch known.
The buckle and the keeper are secured to the belt with a screw, allowing for quick and easy strap replacement.
