P08 Parabellum folding knife by knifemaker Stefan Steigerwald

A work by Stefan Steigerwald, inspired by the design of the legendary German Luger P08 pistol, also known as the Luger Pistol Parabellum, whose name comes from the Latin dictum “Si vis Pacem, para Bellum” (“If you want peace, prepare for war”). A thing, without exaggeration, legendary, noted in the First and Second World Wars, which was in service with the officers of The Triple Entente, Russia (during The Russian Civil War, it was produced on Mosin's Sestroretsk factory), China, the states of South America and the United States and many other countries.

The most recognizable detail of the Parabellum - the crank mechanism - Steigerwald embodied the lock in the design of his product. The knife mechanism was named Glide-lock. To open the knife, you need to pull the "bolt" on the back of the handle. In this case, the blade is pushed by the spring in the direction of opening and then moved by hand into the operating position until you hear a click, with which the bolt mechanism returns to its original position. Folding is performed in the same order - raise the bolt, freeing the blade axis, move the blade to the direction of folding. At the end of the turn, the spring "retracts" the blade into the handle and returns the bolt to the horizontal position.

The Steigerwald P08 finish is made with historical accuracy: the blade and D2 alloy steel frame are black oxidized, just like the parts of the weapon prototype. The inlays of the knife are walnut, just like the original Parabellum had.

There are only three copies of the knife model P08, in the future, the author does not plan to repeat this work. The number of the presented item is # 3/3. This model can only be purchased at the Maria Stalin Knives store. All Steigerwald knives are handmade. His masterpieces are a great collectible rarity; for a knife collector who is fond of historical weapons, this is the best gift.

This item is not a cold steel weapon.
Comes with: author packaging (box, certificate).
