The flipper blade is forged from Carpenter CTS-204P powdered steel, featuring a unique shape — a kind of warncliffe transitioning into a drop-point. The blade finish is hand-rubbed satin, with a mirror-polished fuller. The titanium frame features decorative Star Strike carbon fiber inlays. As you may have noticed, the carbon fiber structure contains copper fibers. The reason is that Star Strike is a stylistic interpretation of Lightning Strike carbon fiber — a material used in the aviation industry to protect carbon-composite aircraft from critical damage in the event of a lightning strike. The copper thread is designed to dissipate the electrical discharge across the fuselage. Star Strike, in turn, protects against meteor showers. Just kidding — that's what Bruce Willis is for. One thing is certain: the material looks incredibly cool.
Even in the finishing process, Begg Knives has emphasized why this is a folding knife. The pocket clip and pivot collar feature the signature Jewel Iced finish with diamond-like coating. The backspacer, the rear portion of the spine, and the blade tang are engraved. The Glimpse flipper mechanism runs on the IKBS bearing system.
