The extraordinary custom knife EDX by Joe Caswell
Caswell Knives EDX is a custom folder from American knifemaker Joe Caswell, a genius in innovative knife engineering and design. If you like unusual folding knives, the EDX is made for you. Joe hid in the handle two author's patented mechanisms. They brought two awards for the folder: Best Unique Design in Las Vegas (2010) and Best Design Innovation in Atlanta (2011). Both mechanisms were developed personally by Caswell and are protected by patents.
The first miracle of mechanics is called the Lockdown Pivot System. It is an unusual axle screw design construction that allows you to firmly lock the blade. The second mechanism In-Line Integral Lock / Clip System controls the custom clip. The pocket clip located near the backspacer is completely hidden in the handle when the blade is open.
The EDX folder blade opens with an ergonomic stud. After a slight movement, the blade flies out of the handle like a bullet.
Mechanics aren't the only strength of the EDX. Its blade is made of CPM-S110V, high-alloy American steel, which in many parameters has left the competition behind. Such a knife can be dropped to the bottom of a pond and found in three days and you won't find any damage to the sharpening, any hint of corrosion. The fact that the high qualities are guaranteed by the heat-treated of Paul Bos whose name is a quality mark for understanding connoisseurs of custom.
The delightful EDX is included in the personal collection of the Maria Stalina Knives store.
