Tom Mayo & SBW collaboration
Russian Dr. Death is a knife-internationalist, a child of Shirogorov Brothers Workshop and famous American knifemaker Tom Mayo collaboration. SBW used a successful design of Tom’s Dr. Death, worked on it, got the author’s consent, and produced a 100-item batch (serial number 87 is engraved on the inner side of a liner).
Need a knife for everyday use and a boast? Then you need a Russian Doctor Death. Premium steel and strong titanium make this knife an ideal EDC folder. The cool design that comes with a savory flip will make other knife-lovers jealous.
We should thank a system of ball bearings for the dashing blade opening. A ringing flick of a knife that is being opened is a music of a secure frame mechanism that protects your fingers from a sudden closing of the flipper.
A leaf-shaped blade does its cutting and stabbing job nice and easy. Blade's shape was formed from premium CPM S90V steel, which exceeds competitors on the strength and corrosion resistance. You can use this Shirogorov and Tom’s flipper in fresh and saltwater for hours, it will remain brand new.
The ergonomic handle and the nail notch give you control over the blade. Scales in relief and perforations help additionally to hold that handle tighter. By the way, holes in a handle is a Tom Mayo thing. In the joint Doctor, there are 5 of them.
In American Dr. Death one of the perforations worked as a lanyard hole as well, in the international version lanyard is fastened to the backspacer that features a stick-out back.
Look at the clip. SWB holed it and attached it to the knife with a hidden screw. The clip is very handy, you can easily put the knife in and out of your pocket.
The knife comes with a branded box and a polishing cloth with the logo.
It’s a pleasure to deal with the SBW Russian Dr. Death, do not miss such an opportunity.
