Finnish folding knife Draupner # 7 by Nylund Knives
Simon and Jacob Nylund forged collectible knives. Nylund Knives Draupner # 7 is a magical Finnish folder. Draupner is the name of the ring of the supreme god Odin. The ring had a strange craving for reproduction, and every night it brought its owner 8 more rings. But our custom only exists in one copy. The blade of Draupner # 7 looks like dark spring waters under melting ice. Its wavy pattern is due to the multilayer steel made by the Nylund's. The Knifemakers made the filling of D2 between the slices of RWL-34. The harsh northern sandwich is not only devilishly beautiful but also has impressive anti-corrosion properties. In addition, it retains the sharpness of the cutting edge for a long time.
The knife opens in one motion: the blade flying out of the handle and is fixed with a click by the liner lock.
The handle of Draupner # 7 will not leave an esthete indifferent. Do you see the play of inserts on the steel handle? No, this is not timascus. This is colored Damascus (Simon and Jacob are proficient in the technology of steel oxidation). The blue lines of the bolster are accompanied by indigo screws and anodized titanium liner. Let us also draw your attention to the shape: the concave handle of the knife is incredibly snug in the palm.
Nylund Knives Draupner # 7 is a bright (in every sense) representative of the Scandinavian knife school. Here there is masterly forging, precise assembly, and harmonious design, multiplied by high functionality.
