Cyrax Gladio Damascus – a temptation to a collector
Cyrax Gladio Damascus is a luxurious author custom knife clothed in an exquisite Damascus pattern. Brilliant work by the genius knife maker Nikolai Lomachenkov. A particular feature of the Cyrax model is its unusual way of opening with the Glissando locking system.
Custom is named after a secret CIA’s operation Operazione Gladio and a legendary ancient roman sword which was the emblem of that operation.
Cyrax Gladio Damascus deserves the attention of the most demanding collectors. There are only two such folders in the world. The personal number of the knife is engraved on the handle next to the author's signature.
The blade, handle, and hardware: they all are made of premium Swedish Damasteel Damascus. Only pins and the shaft are machined from stainless steel. And a drop of bronze, glowing under the edge of the closed blade, was formed as a miniature roller that provides perfect sliding.
Opening and closing the knife brings you special tactile pleasure. The knife easily deploys with one hand. You can open it with a wave of your hand, holding the handle by the ring. Or you can slowly pull out the blade as you do when using a clerical knife. The blade carriage slides gracefully along the handle, the roller moves smoothly along the fuller. Then you hear a click and the open blade is safely fixed by the reliable Glissando-Lock.
Blade’s shape repeats the lines of its famous ancestor — a short Roman gladius sword: a symmetrical dagger-shaped profile with a triangular point. However, a true creator can’t be satisfied with simple copying. Nikolai Lomachenkov reconsidered the pyramidal grind. The author made one side asymmetric and added a geometric design to the other side.
Damascus’s wavy pattern smoothes and harmonizes straight lines of the fearsome Gladio.
The folder comes with a branded black case and a certificate signed by the author.
Cyrax Gladio Damascus is a temptation to a collector, an upscale gift, and a stylish men's accessory. Inspired by the legendary antique weapon, the knife is as beautiful and majestic as the Roman Empire.
Just one click and Gladio will sparkle in your hand.
