Custom prototype knife Rhino XL Proto-1
Famous Rhino by Manufactory S&L grew 3 centimeters! We present you a prototype of a new, enlarged version of the model — Rhino XL Proto-1. This knife is the first of its kind, it’s a concept, custom prototype, which will be followed by a number of similar products. The Manufacture plans a custom small-scale batch of 10 pieces and several one-off samples with exclusive decor made of premium materials.
Drop the illusions — size matters. An enlarged handle fits the palm perfectly, a big blade is capable of solving "adult" tasks. XL is not just a bigger version of the famous model. The Manufactory S&L completely reconsidered the concept. The thumb stud was perfected in ergonomic.
The new Rhino XL has grown just enough to become more practical, but still to remain a "costume knife". It is the same gentleman Rhino, no less elegant, but more functional.
Manufactory S&L, as always, surprises us with an unusual mechanism. The hardened steel spring of Push-up Spring Lock works as a backspacer as well, and the locking mechanism is hidden under the scales. The lock is unlocked by pressing the ribbed surface of the blade’s tang, located on the side of the cutting edge.
Rhino XL Proto-1 features a RWL-34 steel drop point blade with a hand rubbed satin finish. The radial blade with a circled fuller resembles an exotic animal. Ergonomic milled titanium handle with a tip-down pocket clip has bronze hardware on the scales. The steel backspacer has a glass breaker with a lanyard hole.
The knife comes with a branded case of the Manufacture.
Rhino XL Proto-1 is the first in the herd of big Rhinos. Its features are to be followed in the next Rhinos of XL size. Custom has its undoubted collectible value — it’s the only one item. Also, it’s a stylish monochrome costume knife, which will emphasize its owner’s taste and masculinity.
