Razor blade with a handle made of Moku-Ti by Black Snow Customs
The Razor knife is a virtuoso work by Nati Amor. The knifemaker worked for several years on this creation, painstakingly achieving perfection. It is the firstborn, a potential prototype of other master's razors. As a symbol of our friendship, Razor was presented by the author to our store's collection.
The Razor knife possesses boldness and courage. The straight razor is also extremely aesthetic and is a work of art in itself. It turns the shaving process into a sacred act, gives the process a special, elegant brutality. The sharpest blade with a polished surface flawlessly shaves off, leaving skin as smooth as a baby.
All parts of a straight razor are flows in harmony: the tang acts as a lever and stabilizer, then goes the supporting piece shank, the curved shoulder continuing to the blade meets the heel before the cutting edge, which ends with the toe.
The straight razor has a special tail detail called a pivot, by pressing which the blade rotates from the handle. The blade is not fixed in a vertical position, since the shaving technique requires it to be perpendicular to the handle. However, the locking mechanism blocks the blade in a closed position. A small ball installed on the inside of the liner stops the free opening.
The master gave the Razor a classic shape: a round head, the straight cutting edge, and concave slopes. The blade is made of high-carbon Swedish RWL-34 steel, hardened to an impressive 60 HRC. This grade perfectly retains a thin cutting edge.
The ideal mirror polish covers the slopes and the back of the blade. The shoulder and the tang stand out with longitudinal hand satin.
A titanium liner is in harmony with the matt satin finish. The handle is decorated with titanium composite Moku-Ti overlays. This polished surface shimmers with a golden-purple pattern. The decorative pivot pin and backspacer are made of the same spectacular material.
