Steampunk custom knife Assist-Ti Prototype
Bavarian quality is not just about cars and motorcycles. The creations of Bavarian knifemaker Stefan Steigerwald, occupy a confident place at the forefront of the modern art of knifemaking. And here's why: imagine the living embodiment of the fantastic mechanisms described in the novels of Jules Verne and Herbert Wells — this is exactly the creative style of the Master. The name of the Artist is undoubtedly familiar to people whose hobby is collecting fine art knives and rare mechanical curiosities.
The presented knife is a prototype of the Assist model and continues the cycle of the Author's works on his favorite steampunk theme. The bright attractive design of the hand-assembled product can impress, perhaps, even a person who is extremely far from the knife theme.
The harpoon bend blade is made of stainless Damascus with a wavy pattern. The end of the handle echoes the shape of the blade. The open mechanism of the titanium frame, anodized in bronze, attracts the eye for a long time. Elements and hardware with a gradient from cyan to magenta give the product a truly distinctive look.
However, as with all Steigerwald knives, the main feature of the knife is its lock. There is a sliding switch on the handle that changes the mode from a classic flipper folder to a spring-loaded semiautomatic device. The back has a lever that ejects the blade when working in semi-assist mode. It is necessary to lock the bring yourself. "Dura lex, sed lex", as they say...
The knife comes with a case, a stand for exhibiting, and a screwdriver for designer accessories.
