Looking for timeless custom knives? Then you have come to the right place. The American brand Olamic Cutlery produces eternal customs (olam עולם means eternal in Hebrew). The infinity emblem and lifetime product warranty confirm the company's claim to immortality.
The Olamic Cutlery was founded by Eugene Solomonik in 2010. Only close relatives of Eugene work at the manufactory. The family business is located in Silicon Valley, Mountain View, California. Despite the neighborhood of the famous high-tech center, the Solomonik family prefers to work with CNC machines in an old-fashioned way.
All Olamic knives are created manually with individual decor. Initially, production was concentrated exclusively in the California workshops. However, over time, some high-precision parts began to be ordered from European colleagues. Blades for fixes were entrusted to Russian knifemakers (they are made by hand in small batches).
For the first four years, the assortment of the manufactory consisted exclusively of fixes. Taking part in numerous knife shows, Evgeny Solomonik could not help but notice how popular folding knives are. He decided to start producing folders.
The Olamic Cutlery in collaboration with knifemaker Mike Vagnino (ABS Master Smith) opened a new workshop in Visalia, California.
The first folder was presented in 2013 at the famous Blade Show in Atlanta. The Wayfarer was designed by Mike Vagnino. It was a pretty impressive tactical flipper, featuring a four-inch drop-point powerful multi-grind blade made of American CPM-3V tool steel.
The premiere was a success, fans of large-sized tactics appreciated the folder. Soon, the Olamic Cutlery created several more Wayfarer variants with different profiles, and a Wayfarer Compact modification was released with a blade reduced to 3.5 inches.
After conquering the market for folding tactics, the manufactory switched to EDC knives. The tourist folder was developed based on the same "Wayfarer", the model was called Wayfarer 247. For this knife were used high-tech parts from Italy. The workshop currently offers the Wayfarer 247 with four different profiles: Drop Point, Sheepscliffe, Harpoon, and Tanto.
The Olamic Cutlery is proud of its branded Damascus, crafted from high carbon steels containing significant amounts of vanadium. The Damascus brand is patented under the name H.C.V.D. (High Carbon Vanadium Damascus), most commonly used in hunting knives and daggers. In the spring of 2017, Olamic folders appeared with Damascus patterns manufactured in the Russian Federation.
By the way, the Olamic Cutlery cooperates with Russian craftsmen not only to buy Damascus. At Blade Show 2019 at Atalanta, the Olamic Cutlery presented the lightweight, compact Folder WhipperSnapper, equipped with a front flip. The authorship of the knife belongs to the Russian designer Andrei Kolesnikov, who developed the flipper as a continuation of Olamic's recent hit — the Busker.
The Maria Stalina Knives store is pleased to perform some excellent tactical customs from the Olamic Cutlery. There are Wayfarer Red and Wayfarer black in stock.
