Blade Show 2018
Nikolai Lomachenkov and Maria Stalina will presented their knives on this event. We are glad to see you in Atlanta, Georgia, USA!
Blade Show is the most representative and large-scale exhibition for manufacturers and knife lovers around the world. Every year thousands of nafmeykerov and collectors from all over the world flock here. They go personally to participate in the history of knife-making: some — to show the fruits of their creativity, others — to take a look, and maybe buy new works of both venerable knife makers and promising newcomers. Every year, wishing to attend the event is becoming more and more. Since 1982, the Show has been held annually under the patronage of the publication Blade Magazine. In the early 80's, none of the organizers could imagine that the Blade Show would become a kind of Woodstock for knife community.
The walls of the Cobb Galleria Centre exhibition complex will bring together veterans and ascendant stars of knifemaking, talented designers, engineers and customizers, amateurs and sophisticated collectors. The scale of the event is truly impressive! However, the Blade Show is something more than a giant trade and exhibition platform, first of all it is an event that has an impressive influence on the development of the knife community.
In 2018, more than 900 participants were announced.
Speaking of the Blade Magazine and their annual exhibition, it is important to mention Cutlery Hall of Fame. It is a titled group of people who created and create the history of nyfmeyking as art, craft and business. Every year, the Hall of Fame replenishes a new member, which current members choose from the list of well-deserved candidates. More details about Cutlery Hall of Fame and its representatives we will tell in a number of biographical articles on our forum.
Within the Blade Show, competitions are held every year in various knife disciplines, for example in 2018 there will be a Bali Comp — tournament for the possession of balisongs. All events and competitions are announced in the corresponding section on the site and on the Facebook page.
In addition to a number of knives, the exhibition will traditionally present new products of the knife industry: grinders, tools and accessories for knife care, all kinds of accessories. For manufacturers of similar products on the Blade Show there are separate nominations.
The program of the 3-day exhibition includes a large-scale lecture hall from BLADE University with master classes from recognized guru of knife making. Wishing to get on it we recommend to hurry up, places in the classrooms are limited. Ticket prices and timetable are indicated here...
