Mowgli had his "Iron Claw" — and Rike Knife has the "Hummingbird." The production neck folder Hummingbird, with a 3.7 cm blade and weighing just 17 grams, is a functional EDC and a stylish men's accessory.
Crafted with jeweler-like precision, this miniature flipper rivals — and arguably surpasses — full-size models in both mechanics and decoration. The neck knife conceals itself neatly in its Kydex sheath, leaving only its openwork wings visible, through which the elite damascus steel gleams. The Hummingbird looks like an original designer ornament on your chest — yet it's always ready to lend a hand to its owner.
One press of the flipper tab — and the blade launches from the handle with a force you wouldn't expect from something so small. This cannonball speed is thanks to a bearing system with miniature ceramic balls. When open, the knife reaches a total length of 10 cm. The open construction is secured by a titanium frame lock, whose lock bar tip is protected from wear by a hardened steel insert.
The flipper can be opened in two ways — via the flipper tab or through the opening hole beneath the spine, which also serves a decorative function. On the blade's grinds, steel "roses" bloom — the pattern of the premium damascus steel. The drop-point profile performs well in both slicing and piercing tasks. Don't hesitate to draw the "Hummingbird" from its sheath — the costly damascus is remarkably tough, holds an edge admirably, and offers good corrosion resistance.
The titanium handle, in a steingrau (stone-grey) hue, is adorned with a relief floral pattern. A row of perforations on the scales mimics wings and helps keep a secure grip on the Hummingbird. The lighter-toned hardware — including the pivot collar with its logo — echoes the blade.
The tiny backspacer and the convenient clip (impressive given the knife's size) are also crafted from titanium. The clip secures the Hummingbird neatly to clothing fabric without damaging it.
The knife comes complete with a branded metal case, black Kydex sheath, and a Venetian-link chain measuring 68 cm.
