You can flick the blade out like a bullet with a sharp snap of your wrist while holding the ring, or draw it out smoothly by the carriage.
The blade carriage glides along the handle rails with a graceful, fluid motion, while the roller rolls smoothly along the fuller track. Then — a click, and the open blade locks into place, caught securely in the Glissando-Lock mechanism.
To release the lock, simply press your finger on the retaining spring through the opening in the handle body. Once disengaged, a light shake is all it takes to return the blade to its closed position.
