Manufacture caliber Shizeku Run 2 Jellyfish Horimono signature 3/5
Once again, the wind from the East has filled the sails of SIL Manufactory.
The second release of "Shizeku" — one of the ancient Japanese names for the samurai class — Shizeku Jellyfish Horimono.
Five specimens of this manufacture caliber are being released in a renewed design — hence the "JH" in the model abbreviation.
Unlike the first release (Run 1), the handle of the second is adorned with openwork engraving — horimono — featuring a pictographic depiction of the sea wasp jellyfish.
The leitmotif of the artifact is the wave, creating a living environment for our dangerous jellyfish. Emerging as an elegant fuller on the blade, it flows into the centerline of the handle, running all the way to the glass-breaker, visually elongating the moderately aggressive shape of the artifact.
The complex, sculpted blade carries a considerable number of functional and decorative elements. Its lateral surfaces are adorned with three fullers.
The handle shape, matching the blade, is boldly complex and, at the same time, comfortable and ergonomic. We won't boast — the happy owners will gladly share their visual and tactile delights with anyone who asks.
