Tachycardia — a knife that causes a rapid heartbeat
Collectible custom Tachycardia is one of the first projects of our Manufactory.
The concept of this folder combines the utilitarian properties of an EDC knife and a stylish costume accessory.
The sci-fi techno style is typical of the creation of the Manufactory S&L. We want to show that a costume knife does not have to be old-fashioned at all. The ergonomics of a modern EDC knife dictate new rules of lines and shapes, which is seen in the example of modern "tacticians". We decided it's time to bring a bit of modernity to the segment of gentlemen's suit knives.
Tachycardia's blade is shaped like a drop-point but has the sharp curve of the butt toward the point, which is characteristic of sheepsfoot blades, to increase the strength of the point. The blade is made of RWL-34™ powder steel from the Swedish company Damasteel, hardened to 60-62 HRC. It has a decorative curly fuller. An asymmetric thumb stud is pressed into the butt for easy opening with one hand. The blade is not afraid of scratches, thanks to the stonewash finish. Several knives also have a black DLC coating on the blade.
The pocket knife Tachycardia has an author's modification of a linear lock with a button. The deployment is done by pressing the button on the right handle plate.
The handle is made of titanium. The scale is engraved with the company Manufactory S&L logo and the coordinates of the workshop in St. Petersburg, where all the products of our Manufactory are manually assembled. There is a lanyard hole at the end of the backspacer.
Axial washers and screws are made of titanium. The stud and button of the lock are carbon fiber.
Tachycardia knives differ in the finishing, the color of carbon elements, and anodized surfaces.
Each knife in the Tachycardia batch is a one-off category product with a unique finish.

The conceptual version of Tachycardia Hell's Blade with engraving and jewelry (collaboration with the artist Vitaly Ilyin and the engraver Oleg Pas), was noted by the Maltsov Gallery along with the works of the best world artists of the past and present.
