Manufacture caliber Copper Snake (CS) Prototype signature 2/2 by SIL Manufactory
The autumn mood of SIL Manufactory. The crimson foliage evoked memories of the biblical story of the Copper Snake, which Moses crafted to save the children of Israel during their journey to Canaan.
CS (Copper Snake) has been revealed to the world by the Collective Cognitive Creative (CCC) of SIL Manufactory — to save the knife community from longing for knives of new design and fresh ideas!
The prototype's shape was developed as a symbiosis of Indo-Persian weaponry forms and the appearance of a traditional Northern European (mostly Finnish) puukko.
The proprietary Spring Pusher Lock — a new development from SIL Manufactory — constitutes the main engineering feature of the artifact. As with traditional liner and frame locks, the open blade locks automatically. However, to fold it, there's no need to search for, feel around, or pry the spring inside or on the surface of the handle. Simply and elegantly press the pusher beneath the pivot assembly and fold the knife.
Hand-finished deep polishing is the second — this time design — feature of the Snake prototype. The flawless super-finish on the blade, visible lock components, and signature hardware cannot help but touch the hearts of those who appreciate beauty in the World of Knives. The Snake's stinger is crafted from premium Swedish powdered metallurgy steel RWL-34.
The blade has a remarkably smooth, pleasing action. You can open it using the stylish thumb stud on the spine or flick it out sharply using the latent flipper — the Manufactory's signature "checkered" jimping on the blade's heel.
The noble golden-chocolate scales of patinated copper (the 3rd feature) beautifully offset the flawless super-finish on the blade, visible lock components, and signature hardware.
The ergonomic pocket clip and backspacer with an integrated glass-breaker and lanyard hole are crafted from titanium. The cherry on top — the bead in the clip, which eases pocket entry, is also copper like the handle, but it remains unpatinated, so it shines like a bright star, completing the Copper Snake composition.
