Artctical flipper: Mammoth ivory and Mosaic Damascus
Artctical is a custom knife from the famous Swedish knifemaker Tony Karlsson. In his works, Tony masterly combines folk traditions and elite materials, fine finishing, and high functional qualities. The Artctical knife seems to have been created for the fearless Sami hunter, and the rich decoration of the knife is worthy of the king of Sweden.
The blade profile is a mixed shape, the clip point, and the Persian with the slightly raised edge. The form is universal. If Artctical was a folder, it would have completely passed for the traditional Scandinavian puukko knife, which was the first assistant both in the household and in the hunt.
The author's mosaic Damascus, forged by Vladiс Daniluk, went to the blade and bolster. These Damascus wavy complex patterns can be created only by blacksmiths of the highest rank. The scales of mammoth ivory, a mammoth that roamed our planet more than twenty thousand years ago. The highlight of the design is an azure liner made of titanium anodized in blue.
The blade quickly flies out of the handle and is fixed with a reliable liner lock mechanism. It’s unlocked without effort, just a slight pressure on the spring with your thumb.
Artctical Tony Karlsson is a luxurious designer flipper. Frosty Sámi patterns of the blade meet the handle with the thousand-year history of the Earth.
It comes with a case made of Karelian birch, upholstered with reindeer skin.
