Insider Proto — the first among Insiders

Meet a new outlandish thing by the Manufactory S&L — a custom folding knife Insider Proto. This is a unique piece — a prototype of a new knife design with its mysterious “insider’s” philosophy and “secret” author's mechanism, hidden inside the handle.

Manufactory S&L presents a completely new blade fixation system, which combines the reliability of the locking construction with visually spectacular scales displacement of the complex handle. Author's lock “Insider Lock” is protected by a patent application for an invention. 

The title “Proto” and serial number 1/1 on the inside of the steel liner eloquently declare about the knife's collectible value. The custom prototype is made in a single sample. This “Insider” the first of the first, the one and only. There will be no more "Insiders" in this design!

Insider Proto is not only a collectible artifact with perfect finish, but also an excellent EDC folding knife. This custom does an excellent job with typical tactical knife tasks thanks to durable titanium, elite Swedish steel and a practical blade profile. The knife is comfortable and ergonomic. A pocket clip has a double roller which provides an easy movement in the pocket.

The brutal design of “Insider” is not devoid of artistry. Premium bearings in the pivot provide smooth rotational movement of the blade. The blade is fixed with the author's Insider Lock. Its mechanism is a construction of a complex handle where two movable frames connected by a spring system and a locking roller.

The blade is tightly locked while you grip the handle. To fold the knife, you need to take the "Insider" with your thumb and middle fingers, placing them in the recesses. Now press with your index finger on a stud and the knife folds elegantly.

The drop-point blade is made of high carbon Swedish steel RWL-34 which holds a great edge and is resistant to wear and corrosion. The blade was given 2 finishes. A fuller serves as the border between matte decor and mirror polish. A steel backspacer and hardware also have a mirror finish.

The knife comes with a branded case and the certificate of authenticity signed by Manufactory S&L.
